A well-established CPA firm is seeking a remote Tax Director who will be responsible for the delivery of tax services for clients with international operations (both inbound and outbound) in a variety of industries.


With offices in the US and Europe, the firm services the needs of Europe-based multinationals with operations in the U.S.

Qualifications:

  • Tax Professional with a minimum of 15 years of federal tax compliance and consulting experience including experience in international tax issues including foreign tax credit, Subpart F income, foreign currency and the reporting requirements of related tax forms.
  • CPA preferably with a Masters in Taxation or JD.
  • Experience in C Corporation and Partnership returns.
  • Tax Controversy - represent clients before any tax authority and respond to all questions from federal or state agencies.
  • Proficient in ASC 740 tax provisions.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns, consolidated federal tax returns, partnership returns, and combined state tax returns.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Ability to encourage a team environment.
  • Strong leadership, training, coaching and mentoring skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Review of complex income tax returns with strong focus on corporate and partnership clients.
  • Manage, monitor and direct multiple client engagements on Axcess Workstream.
  • Prepare and Review ASC-740 Tax Provisions.
  • Conduct tax due diligences in connection with M&A transactions and IPOs.
  • Manage federal and state tax examinations.
  • Prepare written tax advice to clients evaluating alternative courses of action and interpretation of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on all aspects of tax compliance, tax research and planning.
