Description

We are looking for an experienced CPA who is ready to take on a leadership role within a supportive and collaborative team. As a Remote Tax Manager, you will work closely with clients, lead and develop a talented team, and play a significant role in the growth and success of our firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Client Engagements: Prepare and review tax returns, manage client engagements including scheduling and staffing, and resolve technical issues while ensuring timely project completion.
  • Mentor and Manage Your Team: Guide and support team members’ professional development, while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
  • Solve Complex Problems: Address challenging tax issues through creativity, thorough research, and a deep understanding of tax laws.
  • Leverage Technology: Utilize modern technologies for financial analysis and presentation, both internally and for clients.
  • Ensure Project Success: Oversee engagements to ensure completion while proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges.
  • Provide Strategic Advice: Engage with clients to offer valuable business and tax recommendations that align with their goals.
  • Empower Clients: Assist clients in understanding their financial situations and strategic plans, and mentor your team in this process.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with the leadership team to contribute innovative ideas and navigate complex client-related issues.
  • Drive the Firm's Vision: Stay ahead of industry trends and actively contribute to the firm's strategic direction.

Qualifications

  • Certified Expertise: Active CPA license with 8-10 years of experience in a small to medium-sized CPA firm.
  • Tax Mastery: Strong tax knowledge with experience reviewing various tax returns and preparing complex returns as needed.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing staff and meeting deadlines, with a passion for mentoring and development.
  • Critical Thinker: Capable of conducting tax research, planning, and projections while adept at solving complex issues.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable in a technology-driven environment; familiarity with Ultratax CS, Practice Management Software, Practice CS, GoFileRoom, or Practice Forward is preferred.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player who can effectively work with leadership to enhance processes and drive the firm forward.
  • Dedicated Professional: Committed to your role with no second jobs or side clients; preference for candidates in Eastern and Central Time Zones.
