Responsibilities

About The Role:

The IT Learning and Readiness team supports the learning and development, organizational change management, communications, and employee experience programs for the IT organization. We're on a mission to drive the right experience for the right person at the right time. Our small but mighty team works alongside the broader Office of the CIO team to support the talent and people components to move our IT objectives forward.

The Tech Learning Experience Manager will work closely with the IT Learning Team to create learning experiences across many technical disciplines. This is including but not limited to cohort/dojo learning, org-wide learning campaigns, and specialized learning experiences for small audiences. Learning objectives will align to GMF's tech stack (Cloud Computing, SDLC, DevSecOps, GenAI, PDLC, etc). In this role, you will need to be knowledgeable in your field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude, having fluency in at least one programming language (Java, JS, Python, C#) and proficient understanding of cloud computing concepts as well as Azure. This position also requires an excellent communicator who can explain complex subjects clearly and in an engaging, compelling manner. Both the audience and topics of learning opportunities you develop will be broad. You will also gather data on these learning experiences to best understand impact and iterate for best solutions. To execute strategic learning initiatives, you must be familiar with Agile methodology, and be able to analyze, create, and iterate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

What Makes You a Dream Candidate

  • Experience developing immersive classroom learning experiences, with a particular focus on case-based and learning dojo models
  • Expert understanding of Adult Learning Theory
  • An eye for detail and a keen ability to organize, move, select, synthesize, summarize, and edit information to make it effective
  • Prior experience developing learning experiences aligned to modern tech stacks
  • Strong history of planning curriculum for, teaching, and coaching a technical cohort/dojo
  • Fluency in at least one of our core languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, C#)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple modalities including but not limited to Office Suite (Word, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Strong ability to curate learning opportunities for technical learners
  • Analytic and strategic thinking with the ability to evaluate and innovate

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4 years of work planning curriculum for and teaching/coaching a technical cohort/dojo required
  • 2-4 years of experience leading through influence required
  • 4-6 years of work experience in Training, Instructional Design, and Technology or related work experience required
  • 4-6 years of experience delivering work through an Agile framework preferred
