Title: Technical Designer

Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to conceptualize, define, design, build, and test new software algorithms and hardware components.
  • Design and develop virtual and/or augmented environments using VR/AR hardware and software.
  • Work within a rapid-prototyping, iterative design, and development environment.
  • Prototype and develop mobile apps utilizing AR/VR in Unity/C#.
  • Utilize the latest mixed reality hardware (HoloLens, Leap Motion, Vive/Rift, etc.).
  • Create 3D CAD models and source materials, components, and systems for products.
  • Apply usability and user-centric design principles with expert proficiency in design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).
  • Incorporate best UX and research practices, focusing on cutting-edge platforms.
  • Conduct user testing and integrate usability feedback into design decisions.
  • Generate mock-ups, flows, wireframes, and prototypes, collaborating with software engineers and designers to execute UX/UI specifications.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, with a strong understanding of usability and user-centric design.
  • Solid 3D and motion skills, including After Effects and Grasshopper.
  • Fluent usage of technologies such as JavaScript/NodeJS, HTML/CSS, XML/JSON, and Responsive/Adaptive Design.
  • Previous experience as a UX/UI designer, with the ability to create functional prototypes using Unity 3D.
