We currently have a career opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to join our team located in San Diego, CA. The technical project manager will have complete responsibility for the day-to-day management of an engagement, including all aspects related to managing our consulting team, resulting in a successful delivery and a satisfied, reference-able client. We are looking for our project managers to be technically minded. They are not expected to code or contribute to a technical solution. However, they are expected to understand technology projects, know the fundamentals of Agile development, and understand at a high-level what are the technical goals of their project which will drive business results for the client.

Responsibilities
- Provide core PMO Support to centralized team and project oversight
- Apply Agile methodology/framework to the project team
- Drive meetings and progress on action items
- Understand, at a high-level, the technical solution that is being applied/adopted
- Prepare PMO deliverables, including status reports, project forecast/budget, etc.
- Create/manage project plans in Microsoft Project (or equivalent), drive all tasks within backlog tooling (e.x. Jira), and hold stakeholders accountable
- Track dependencies and escalate risks/issues as needed
- Develop status reports and presentation materials as needed
- Ensure requirements and project deliverable dates can be clearly communicated to management team
- Ensure solutions through discussion with the Business/ Stakeholders to resolve problems
- Foster an environment that adapts quickly to creative change
- Effectively balance the needs of the client, as well as the needs of the internal teams
- Manage resources for each assigned project to ensure that the project remains on schedule
- Anticipate any potential issues with the project through quick responses and proactive critical thinking
- 5+ years of project management experience within IT projects/programs
- Management consulting experience is preferred
- Highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders and business partners to deliver high quality projects
- Hands on with project documentation. Well-versed in industry best-practices.
- Knowledge of Agile Framework is a MUST
- Experience with MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel is a MUST.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, SmartSheets, etc. is a MUST.
- Must be able to describe the high-level, technical solution of at least 2 projects/programs from past experiences
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- PMP Certification
- Scrum Master Certification
- Project Management tool certification (Jira, ADO, etc.)
