Our team is in the process of transitioning from development to production while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. This is a frontline, hands-on-hardware, tank production and assembly Aerospace Technician role. We are looking for Technicians to operate various robotic equipment, perform overhead crane moves of tooling and flight hardware, conduct manual blending operations, operate fixture tooling, and execute precision drilling, and internal tank installations. The rocket starts with us, we build and assemble the tanks for New Glenn from raw material and by the time it leaves our area it is the tank assembly.

Responsibilities
Operate multi axis robotic weld systems
Manual blend operations
Precision drilling in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications for internal tank installations
Setup new production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment
Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles
Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical flight hardware assemblies according to written procedures and engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures
Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written work instructions
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
Ability to operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, truck-trailer combinations, and other group support equipment as required
Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and optical measuring instruments
Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and Safety
Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Experience In Manufacturing, Integration, Or Another Relevant Field
Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
Ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as climbing ladders/stairs, lifting heavy items > 50lbs, and blending welds
Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
Ability to work any shift, extended overtime hours, and weekends if/when necessary as directed
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and safety
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Desired
Experience with multi-axis robotic systems
Sheet metal or structural experience (fabricating, assembly, and install)
Experience in precision drilling applications and assembling tight tolerance structures
Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field
Military Experience
Experience in Aerospace/Launch vehicle production, testing, and assembly
Experience in handling large aerospace components and flight hardware
