Technology Operations/Production Support Engineer

Summary

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly operation tasks required for ongoing functionality of software applications.
  • Troubleshoot errors and production problems via help desk tickets, and initiate corrective actions, along with preventive techniques where appropriate.
  • Responsible for creating operation run books and other documents related to production control work as needed.
  • Ability to escalate issues to 2nd level and above as required.
  • Will be on a rotational on call schedule.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Server 8 and higher, IIS 7.0 and higher,
  • Object oriented programming (.NET preferred) knowledge,
  • SQL server 2019, SSIS, SSRS
  • Working knowledge of stored procedures and T-SQL,
  • Code versioning systems(TFS/SVN/GIT)
  • Ticketing systems(Service Now/JIRA)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office toolset
  • Writing Code/Scripts using PowerShell, Python
  • Cloud experience would be a plus but not required
  • Candidate should have effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across different levels of the organization
  • Working ability to effectively recognize and manage interpersonal communication needs
  • Ability to analyze, resolve and document problems and resolutions
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural teams, excellent inter-personal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation. Ability to work independently or part of a team.
  • Understanding of software development process, change management and incident management.

Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
