The position also requires reviewing faculty research and WBD segments for publication suitability, and light editing/proofreading as needed, especially for the weekly Knowledge at Wharton newsletter.

Job Description

The Knowledge at Wharton writer/editor writes stories based on Wharton faculty research; produces engaging written summaries of Wharton faculty interviews on the Wharton Business Daily (WBD) radio show; and conducts podcast interviews with Wharton faculty on a regular cadence. The position also requires reviewing faculty research and WBD segments for publication suitability, and light editing/proofreading as needed, especially for the weekly Knowledge at Wharton newsletter.

Requirements

Familiarity with Wharton faculty research across a wide range of topics. Ability to read and comprehend academic literature, conduct in-depth interviews on business topics, and translate research findings for a lay readership. In order to be successful in this role, the candidate should have an accessible and engaging writing style, a high level of accuracy with detail, and the ability to produce error-free prose. A background in journalism is required, as well as editing experience. Podcast experience is a plus, as the person in this role will be expected to produce audio interviews with Wharton faculty.
