Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Summary:

Lead the bid process, from opportunity identification to proposal submission. This includes supporting the Growth Enablement team ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client requirements, managing resources effectively, helping develop a solid value proposition and load establishing compliance with all Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) requirements and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead entire tender management process for all RFPs and RFIs.
  • Develop value proposition and technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Collaborate with Growth Enablement team and key stakeholders to develop bid strategies.
  • Develop internal and external customer facing proposal content.
  • Coordinate bid meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track bid performance metrics and analyze win/loss data to identify trends.
  • Continuously refine and improve tender management process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain comprehensive bid documentation including RFP/RFI files and complete proposal submissions.
  • Ensure all RFP/RFI submission deadlines are delivered on time.

Responsible for document management of proposals submitted.

Provide continued analysis of proposal performance over time.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or a related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience as a bid manager, proposal manager or a similar role (preferred)
  • Experience in managing bids for complex projects (required)
  • Previous experience in the transportation industry (highly desired).
  • Demonstrated success in winning bids through effective proposal management
  • Advanced level skills in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup), intermediate MS Office skills, including PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, development, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in using CRM such as SalesForce.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in bid preparation and review.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
