About The Role

Responsible for supporting product development under Engineering management's supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental tests on electronic and electromechanical devices in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC and governmental standards Interpret test results, perform data analysis and create written reports
• Assist in selecting and procuring supplies.
• Assist in the construction of specialized test fixtures and equipment
• Provide interpretation of standards
• Test, maintain and evaluate equipment performance
• Local Essential Function (Intense Lighting, Anaheim CA): Assemble product samples for testing and evaluation as well as a modest amount of fabrication and or surface finishing as required for any components needed to build the product samples
  
  

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of instrumentation and wiring systems required.
• Familiarity with UL, CSA, IEC, and government standards and test procedures is necessary.
• Must possess knowledge of general machine shop work
• Must have general knowledge of household and industrial electrical devices and wiring in accordance with the National Electric Code
• Must have familiarity with some of the following tests and equipment (school work experience acceptable): Digital Multi Meter, Volt, Amp, Watt Meters, Oscilloscope, Temperature/Humidity Cabinet, and Thermocouples and temperature testing
• Must have the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite for Windows
  
  

Education & Experience

• Associate's Degree in Applied Science or Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
• 0 to 3 years hands-on experience is required; School labs may be sufficient
