Garda is looking to hire an intern to join the Commodity trading team in New York. The candidate will be supporting portfolio managers, helping implement solutions for our trading and risk systems. In the course of the internship, you will be exposed to the analytics used in trading, working closely with a mentor who will provide guidance and feedback.
Position Responsibilities
Support portfolio managers by improving trading and risk spreadsheets and systems
Assist in the development of screeners and trading signals to complement investment decisions
Support the team's research process, including data collection and analysis, prototyping, backtesting, and performance monitoring
Qualifications & Desired Skills
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in statistics, financial engineering, applied math, finance, computer science, or similar quantitative or technical discipline
Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time-sensitive team environment
Strong communication skills
Detail-oriented nature with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
Intellectual curiosity and motivation to innovate and improve
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
Hourly Compensation for this role is expected to be between:
$45—$55 USD
