Join the Trane Technologies team and bring your unique skills and perspective as our Training and Development Coordinator for the growing Engineering and Technology team! The Engineering Training and Development Coordinator provides thought leadership and develops and administers a training and development program for the engineering organization. This role is a critical enabler to growing our engineering talent and building a highly skilled and diverse engineering team.

Where Is The Work

This is a Remote position.

What You Will Do

  • Provide thought leadership on the engineering training and development program for engineers, data analysts, designers, and laboratory technicians.
  • Assess and find capable partners to develop internal and external, in-person, live virtual, and asynchronous development offerings. Potential partners include technical professional societies, universities, training and consulting companies, colleges, industry partners, and suppliers.
  • Build out and administer a core curriculum to develop core workplace competencies like teamwork, effective communication, planning and organizing work, problem solving and business acumen open to all engineering team members.
  • Build out and administer engineering technical curriculum broadly applicable to the engineering team around competencies like Six Sigma, Robust Design, Desing for Manufacturing and Assembly, and Project Management.
  • Work with subject matter experts and management sponsors to facilitate communities of practice with the goal to grow deep technical skills in competencies like Refrigeration Design, Structural Engineering, Heat Transfer, or Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Servant leadership work with engineering leaders to meet targeted training needs for their teams.
  • Provide coaching to subject matter experts on how to mentor and provide technical training to their peers.
  • Build and manage a competency management tool that helps team members identify development opportunities and helps leadership identify subject matter experts and evaluate if project teams are balanced. Evaluate and select a commercially available tool such as Skill Base.
  • Track training records for engineering team within Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Stay aware of best practices for content delivery. Coordinate with other training teams within Trane Technologies, such as Trane University to adopt and use best practices.
  • Operational excellence in training administration.
  • Minimal Travel expected – estimated less than 10%.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 Years in Learning and Development required.
  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) a plus.

Compensation

Annual base compensation: $86,0000 – 152,300

Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
