Job Title: TTC System Admin (H)

Location: Al Udeid AB, Doha, Qatar

Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret

Required Certification(s)

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+) or higher; AND
  • Citrix Certified Associate ‐ Virtualization (CCA‐V) OR Citrix Certified Associate ‐ Networking (CCA‐N), OR equivalent certification.

SUMMARY: Trusted Thin Client (TTC) System Administrator for support of the US Air Forces Central (AFCENT) network at the Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) at Al Udeid AB, Qatar

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Operating in an environment with both physical and virtual servers, the Systems Administrator will support the backup and recovery of an end-to-end system which includes Microsoft and Red Hat Linux based systems, Servers, Thin Clients, SAN storage devices, C4I applications, Office Automations Services, and multiple classification domains.
  • This position will also maintain all databases required by the system and user base.
  • The Systems Administrator will perform daily system maintenance activities to maintain 24/7, 365 days/year system and services availability; activities include the repair, patching, fixing or replacement of existing hardware and software.
  • The Systems Administrator will also provide Tier 2 Help Desk duties for tickets escalated.

Qualifications

Required Certifications

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+) or higher; AND
  • Citrix Certified Associate ‐ Virtualization (CCA‐V) OR Citrix Certified Associate ‐ Networking (CCA‐N), OR equivalent certification.

Education, Background, And Years Of Experience

  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering or related field, AND 4+ years’ work experience OR
  • 6+ years' experience (with no degree)

  • Hours are: Tuesday - Saturday - 17:00pm-5:00am.

Strength Demands

  • Light – 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs. A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls.
