UI/UX Designer

LightFeather is currently seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge products that deliver exceptional user experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience and engagement. You will collaborate closely with leadership and development teams to design and implement innovative solutions that align with our business goals and user needs.

This Position is Part Time 1099, Remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct user research studies, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows
  • Work closely with product managers to understand business objectives and translate them into user-centric designs
  • Conduct usability testing sessions and gather qualitative and quantitative data on user interactions
  • Document design processes, decisions, and research findings in a clear and organized manner
  • Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and best practices, providing an inclusive experience for all users
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in UX/UI design and human-centered design
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs
  • Explore new design approaches and innovative solutions to enhance the user experience

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • US Citizenship
  • Clearance is not required at this time, but the ability to obtain and maintain one at the Public Trust level or above if needed is essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 5+ years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing design projects
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and InVision
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
