A Day in the Life

Working under the leadership of the National Senior Director of Strategic Programs, this US Sales Program Manager- OEM position will strategically contribute to the market share growth and profitability objectives of the Patient Monitoring (PM) Operating Unit (OU). You will be responsible for developing and implementing an enhanced and focused OEM business strategy to accomplish the revenue and profitability objectives of the PM OU. You will contribute to the market-share growth through conversion excellence by engaging and collaborating with customers, our OEM partners, the PM Commercial organization, and the Global Strategic Alliances organization.

This role can be based anywhere in the United States with a strong preference for the East Coast.

  • Develops and maintains a high level of expertise related to the OEM market channel and partners to expertly contribute to and support the OUs strategic objectives including:
    • Directly contributes to conversion success through strategic customer engagements
    • Owns OEM commercial relationships to promote a “Medtronic first” mindset
    • Maintain subject matter expertise for MDT, OEM partners and Customer
  • Develop, facilitates and maintains strong relationships with all key OEM leadership/personnel to support targeting, selling, market development and service efforts.
  • Supports and coaches sales representatives on the technical aspects of the OEM partner solutions to facilitate selling efforts and market share and market growth objectives.
  • Partner with appropriate cross-functional partners such as Sales, Marketing, Service, Finance, Global Strategic Alliance team to achieve global OEM partnership objectives.
  • Assesses the need for new solutions, selling programs, value props and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies to increase market share.
  • Lead the OEM conversion process from equipment needs analysis and proposal to implementation with a focus on time to revenue recognition.
  • Ease the burden of OEM related conversions, eliminate customer objections, and right size deals to influence and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure that Medtronic’s ethical position is maintained and effectively communicates and manages the compliance, education and adherence to all Medtronic operating policies, Business Conduct Standards, systems and processes.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales and market development experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of sales and market development experience
  • Medical device and capital equipment sales experience


Nice to Have

  • OEM experience
  • Respiratory & Patient Monitoring experience.
  • Market development experience and in-depth knowledge of the US healthcare system.
  • Successful history of complex contracting and negotiation.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business principles, industry dynamics and market trends
  • Ability to develop organizational plans and deployment strategies encompassing relevant market dynamics.
  • Proven collaborator in a matrixed sales organization
  • Ability to lead & embrace changes that are customer responsive & market driven.
  • Ability to build solid business relationships with channel partners and cross functional Medtronic teams.
  • Ability to maintain a highly visible role within the customer base and the business unit leaders.
  • Ability to travel and be flexible with hours of operation.
  • Track record of leading and driving results in complex cross-functional engagements strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects concurrently.
  • Self-motivator who can apply innovative thinking to define solutions to business problems, solution oriented.
  • Solid planning and organizational skills and ability to operate independently
  • Exceptional client interaction and presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain an ethical mindset and conduct business with integrity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):160,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
