Location: Seattle, New York City, San Fran, San Diego OR Remote

Schedule: Remote with occasional team meetings depending on location

Pay: Up to $105 per hour DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a User Experience Researcher who has a Master's or PHD for our well known technology client. The User Experience Researcher will be working on a unique project related to Machine Learning and must have a strong understanding of the space.

This role REQUIRES experience in Responsible AI, Customer Safety Focus Research as it relates to AI/ML, and User Research.

User Experience Researcher Responsibilities:

• Work with ML Engineers to figure out what risks there are for customers when it relates to AI and ML functions.
• Develop research studies as it relates to the risks involved with AI and ML that include human participants in the process such as surveys, experiments, and focus groups.
• Create and manage study participants schedules.
• Work cross-functionally with team members on user research projects that relate to Responsible AI.
• Test different research methods and hypothesis.
• Develop results from the studies and deliver reporting and recaps.
• Help set-up devices and apps that are necessary for the studies.
• Execute from start to finish user studies and then report back on the progress and post-data processing.
• Train moderators in the field to ensure studies are being done correctly.
• Verify data that is collected to make sure it is reliable and valid for use.
• Troubleshoot when necessary devices, applications, and other tools for the various studies.
• Analyze and pull data to then share with the team.

User Experience Researcher Musts:

• Experience working on Responsible AI.
• Experience working in a Tech organization or other industry as long as the work is related to Responsible AI.
• Experience collecting data with human participants.
• Either a Master's degree and relevant work history or a PHD with relevant work history.
• Experience designing studies and analyzing the results.
• Experience with Machine Learning from a knowledge standpoint and can understand the fundamentals as it relates to ML, ML customer safety, ML systems.
