UX Content Designers craft clear, consistent, succinct language for Thomson Reuters’ product and digital experiences. This is a highly collaborative role that will partner closely with UX designers and researchers, product teams, leadership, accessibility specialists, development, and more to create user-centered experiences.

UX Content Designers craft clear, consistent, succinct language for Thomson Reuters’ product and digital experiences. This is a highly collaborative role that will partner closely with UX designers and researchers, product teams, leadership, accessibility specialists, development, and more to create user-centered experiences.
About the Role :
As a UX Content Designer, you will:
- Deliver UX content design solutions for product or digital experiences
- Articulate the problem, execute defined design vision, and align work to strategies and objectives of the project
- Use data and metrics to influence decisions and measure progress
- Work collaboratively with UX Designers, UX Researchers, UX Development, Technology and Product partners and help educate about the importance of UX content when necessary
- Collaborate and work well in tools like Microsoft Teams, Miro, Mural, Figma, etc.
- Demonstrate understanding of the critical influence of words and visual language across design, research, product, and development teams
- Participate in content design strategy efforts, such as:
- Auditing product lines for areas of UX content opportunity
- Continually evolving voice & tone elements for both disparate and experientially connected products
- Participating in empathy/content/feature mapping and other discovery/sprint planning exercises in partnership with UX design and research
- Be customer obsessed – Advocate for customers during product prioritization
- Have a growth mindset by thriving on challenges and viewing failures as a springboard for growth
You’re a fit for the role of UX Content Designer if you have:
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of UX writing/content design experience and exposure to UX principles for a complex software product offering (cloud, app, or web)
- High level of attention to detail to ensure consistent outputs internally and for customers
- Solid understanding of current design thinking, UX content design best practices, and radical user-focus within and across complex groups, if not large organizations
- Experience working with UX designers, researchers, developers, and product/program owners within a UX, creative, marketing, or similar setting
- Understanding of the importance of UX success tracking:
- Primary and secondary research mechanisms
- Balance of qualitative and quantitative outcomes on approach to language, tone, and content
- Ability to influence peers based on research/analytics outcomes and analysis
- Able to extend UX content writing skills into larger UX content organization via design system, experience mapping, and taxonomic thinking
- Take direction, execute, and provide usable and consumable content design-focused deliverables for research, organization, strategic efforts, etc. with minimal oversight
- Active exposure to agile UX approach and partnership cadence with design and product/development partners
- Provide ad-hoc insights and answers to VP level leadership during project stand ups
- Align and contribute to style guidelines, KMDs, writing guidelines, brand voice and tone guides, etc.
- Great familiarity with AODA or WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA accessibility guidelines as they relate to UX content
- Agile management platform uses such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Mingle, Jira, etc.
- Familiarity with content management systems and analytics tools
- Familiarity with UX means/methods of measuring UX content success qualitatively and quantitatively
- Expertise and experience creating content design solutions for Generative AI applications
