DocMe360 is on the lookout for a passionate UX Researcher/Designer to enhance our design team for projects supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this dual role, you will conduct user research, analyze user behavior, and translate findings into actionable insights to inform design decisions. You will create user-centric designs that enhance usability and improve the overall user experience of our digital products. This position requires a combination of strong analytical skills and creative design capabilities. This role may be filled using a 1099, contract-to-hire, or W2 candidate. All applicants must be United States Citizens residing in the United States of America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document and plan user research through authoring research plans, interview guides, and conversation guides
  • Conduct user research using various methodologies (surveys, interviews, usability testing, etc.) to gather insights about user needs and behaviors
  • Analyze research data to identify trends and usability issues, presenting findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications that clearly articulate design concepts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to refine designs based on feedback and ensure alignment with user needs
  • Develop and maintain user personas and user journey maps to inform design strategies
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design
  • Contribute to the establishment of design guidelines and best practices that enhance the VA Design System

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • Proven experience in UX research and design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Mural and/or Sketch
  • Strong ability to synthesize research findings into actionable design recommendations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with usability testing methods and tools
  • Understanding of web/app design principles and user-centered design practices
