Vice President, Field Operations


This role is with a consumer facing, national provider and servicer in the durable medical equipment space. The Vice President of Field Operations is part of a cross-functional leadership team, responsible for the full P&L leadership of one quarter of the national footprint. This position will direct the business strategy, organizational imperatives, and the achievement of all customer, employee, operational, innovation, and financial goals in specified territory.



Geography: Candidates can located anywhere in the region; MD/DC, DE, NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT and ME


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the field operations team, setting clear goals for customer service, quality, productivity, and timelines within branch service departments. Ensure that targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Drive the overall vision, strategy, resource allocation, and execution to ensure the successful delivery of service business benefits.
  • Analyze activities, costs, and operations, and use forecasting data to assess the territory’s progress towards set goals. Implement necessary changes to meet objectives, including reviewing and approving accounting analysis for budget planning and implementation.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, growth-oriented operations team while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and functional strategies, leading branch departments to develop and implement long-term goals that align with annual business and profitability growth targets.
  • Implement operational best practices, driving consistency in operational processes across the territory.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and technical developments that impact regional growth and funding of complex rehabilitation products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional business units, ensuring open communication and alignment of processes to shared goals.
  • Utilize the company's Leadership Principles to perform duties with integrity, ensuring compliance with the company's mission and values.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and customer information and comply with company policies and federal regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Address customer concerns proactively and maintain customer service as a top priority.
  • Responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be adjusted based on organizational needs and management decisions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with significant operational responsibilities.
  • A minimum of seven years of operational management experience.
  • At least five years of experience within healthcare, with responsibility for:Strategic and functional management of multi-location operations
  • Leadership and development of teams
  • Organizational and leadership development
  • Proven experience in coaching and developing leaders.
  • Results-oriented with a strong track record of driving consistent results across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to act as a change leader and adapt to rapid changes within the environment.
  • Previous experience in the durable medical equipment industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare accreditation processes and business requirements.
  • Forward-thinking, with the ability to recognize trends and develop macro-level strategies to address them.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, allowing you to establish trust quickly and collaborate across all levels of the organization to align on shared goals.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple objectives effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills, both internally and externally with customers.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
