For more information, or to find a Meals on Wheels provider near you, visit www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org.POSITION SUMMARYThe Vice President of Marketing is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of all organizational marketing and brand initiatives including (but not limited to) digital engagement, creative campaigns and content, brand management and development. This position will be joining a highly collaborative and collegial team and will have the opportunity to contribute to conversations about critical issues that have a lasting impact on the organization and the Meals on Wheels network while also building marketing and brand development strategies that effectively supports the immediate and long-term ambitions of the organization.The successful candidate will be a positive, dynamic leader with solid marketing skills and extensive experience in brand management who embraces change and the opportunity to join a leadership team that is transforming our organization and elevating the revered Meals on Wheels America brand. This role will lead and drive the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy to strengthen and deepen public perception in a complex environment.This new position is being created at a moment of extraordinary opportunity for Meals on Wheels America and the Meals on Wheels network, and this opportunity is matched by an increasing need for support.The position reports to the Chief Development and Marketing Officer (CDMO) and is an Arlington, VA based, flexible hybrid working role. There is no weekly in-office requirement.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for building, implementing and sustaining a strong, compelling brand strategy consistent with Meals on Wheels America’s mission and visionLeads the creative direction and guidelines with respect to imagery and brand consistencyOversees marketing projects across peer departments to ensure consistency with brand identityDevelops and leads the marketing team in delivering compelling marketing campaigns that support and deliver on strategic goalsWorks with the CDMO to define key performance indicators, measures and tracks effectiveness of marketing and communications strategies and related campaignsWorks with peer departments to develop and execute marketing campaigns that support their strategic visionsCommunicates project timelines with team members, project owners and senior leadershipOversees the creation of marketing content that is aligned to and advances the organizational brand, including briefing and managing external vendors as requiredWorks with peer departments to create content that supports their programs, partnerships and campaignsResponsible for day-to-day operations of marketing teamOversees the annual marketing expense and revenue budget, in collaboration with the CDMOManages vendor relationships to ensure adherence to proposed budgets and schedulesFosters a collaborative culture and builds constructive relationships both within the MarCom team and with other peer departmentsQUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIREDBachelor’s degree with at least 15 years’ experience in a senior marketing, brand management or the equivalent combination of education and experienceExpertise in the nonprofit sector is preferredEagerness to think outside-the-box on marketing initiatives and to lead with creativity in marketing initiativesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to think strategically, generate new ideas, set priorities, execute goals and objectives, and meet financial goals and deadlinesHigh degree of professionalism and integrityA passion for the mission and aspirations of Meals on Wheels America and an ability to eloquently articulate the organization’s mission, values, achievements, potential, and future goals to internal and external audiencesComfort working in a rapidly growing and evolving organizationExcels in a team-based, collaborative, virtual environment working across the enterprise to advance the Association’s mission, values, and goals.Models the Association's cultural attributes of collaboration, learning, accountability, and service, augmented by a strong commitment to Race Equity, Diversity, and InclusionCandidates meeting 75% or more of the above qualifications should apply.Meals on Wheels America is an Inclusive Workforce/Employer and encourages applications from qualified persons of every race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, and disability.
