Your job:


As VP of Marketing, you will spearhead our company's marketing strategies across multiple brands, including Story, Fade Co., and Just Flower. You'll build and lead high-performing teams to drive brand growth, ecommerce success, and customer engagement. Your role is pivotal in establishing our marketing vision, leveraging data-driven insights, and collaborating across the organization to achieve our ambitious growth targets and strengthen our market position.


Your core responsibilities:


● Build and lead high-performing marketing team, including an internal creative agency and ecommerce/performance team

● Drive ecommerce growth through data-driven strategies, optimizing customer acquisition and retention

● Craft compelling brand narratives for Story and house brands across online, retail, and wholesale channels

● Oversee marketing budget allocation and ROI measurement across all initiatives

● Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure marketing strategies support overall business objectives


What your days look like:


● Ensure team initiatives and projects map to the three core marketing strategies identified for the year

● Collaborate with cross-functional partners on integrated marketing initiatives

● Evaluate and approve marketing campaign concepts and executions, managing to quarterly and annual budgets

● Assess new marketing technologies and platforms for potential implementation

● Mentor and develop team members to foster a culture of creativity and data-driven decision-making

● Present marketing strategies and results to executive leadership


Your cross functional partners:


● VP of Retail: Collaborate on marketing strategies that drive in-store traffic, online order for in-store pick up, and overall sales. Ensure brand consistency across retail locations and support local market needs. Cooperate on customer experience initiatives that bridge online and offline touchpoints, enforce loyalty and retention.

● VP of Wholesale: Work closely on marketing strategies to support wholesale partnerships and drive brand awareness through partner channels. Collaborate on co-marketing opportunities and ensure consistent brand messaging across wholesale distribution.

● Supply Chain & Product Development: Align marketing strategies with product launches and innovations. Collaborate on product development, packaging design and product positioning to maximize market impact and ensure sell-in/sell-thru success.


What success looks like:


● Consistent year-over-year operational efficiency and growth in brand awareness, customer retention and acquisition, ecommerce uptake, and revenue

● Successful build-out of high-performing marketing teams, including internal creative agency and ecommerce/performance team

● Development & support of robust ecommerce program, focusing on adoption and conversion rates

● Improved customer retention and lifetime value metrics

● Positive ROI on marketing investments across channels

● Strong brand equity and customer engagement scores

● Successful launch and market penetration of new products and initiatives

Who you are:


● You have a bias toward action, with an eye on solutions and exceptionally detail oriented.

● You’re not afraid to roll-up your sleeves and you bring fresh ideas and solutions to the table.

● Proven leader with 10+ years of experience in marketing, including deep understanding of ecommerce and digital marketing

● Strong track record of building and managing high-performing marketing teams

● Deep understanding of data analytics, customer acquisition strategies, and marketing technology ● Excellent storyteller with the ability to craft compelling brand narratives across various channels

● Collaborative leader with experience working across multiple departments and stakeholders

● Innovative problem-solver comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change

● Experience in retail and/or CPG marketing preferred
