Company Overview: Our client is an innovative AI-driven fact-checking startup, founded by leading executives from Apple & Google. Their mission is to revolutionize the accuracy and reliability of information by leveraging advanced AI technologies. They aim to create a cutting-edge fact-checking search engine dedicated to verifying data with precision and speed

Position: Vice President of AI & ML

Location: Hybrid San Francisco is preferred. Remote considered

Key Responsibilities

• AI Strategy Development: Lead the design and implementation of the companies AI strategy to enhance data verification process
• Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing AI research and development team
• Technical Innovation: Drive the development of proprietary AI algorithms and models tailored for real-time fact-checking
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (Product, Engineering, Marketing) to integrate AI capabilities into the companies core offering
• Thought Leadership: Represent the companies at industry conferences, workshops, and in media to promote our AI advancements

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields
• Experience: approximately 10 years of experience in AI/ML. The individually would preferably come from a broad NLP background solving problems around Search, Information Retrieval, Reasoning and hallucinations
• Technical Skills: Must be proficient in building architectures and rolling up your sleeves to code. Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), data analysis, and large-scale algorithm deployment
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of NLP applications in fact-checking, data integrity, and information verification
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities
