The Vice President of Clinical Quality leads the strategic vision for service quality and compliance across the organization. This role manages a team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and specialists in the areas of quality assurance, compliance, clinical excellence and training. The role also serves as an subject matter expert at the organization regarding the development of clinical standards, policies, procedures, and best practices. 

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 


  • Lead the Clinical Quality and Compliance team in clinical innovation initiatives, supporting and collaborating with cross-functional departments, such as Clinical Operations, Finance, Marketing & Business Development 
  • Serve as subject matter expert for clinical quality improvement processes and regulations for regions, internal and external committees, and key stakeholders  
  • Provide consultation on the interpretation, interaction, and implementation of current policies, regulations, and legislation and advising on the current climate and potential changes which may have long term effects on business operations 
  • Oversees quality of care complaints and review process by responding to payor requests such as denials, and preparing necessary documentation, records, and information requested for specific case reviews 
  • Manage projects to guide development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures; share expertise to achieve best-in-class clinical practices for the organization 
  • Establish clinical training strategy and standardization for both BCBAs and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), including onboarding and ongoing training curriculums 
  • Set up structure for BCBA continuing education and opportunities for trainees’ earning restricted and unrestricted hours in preparation for the BCBA exam 
  • Ensure adherence to BACB guidelines including, but not limited to, RBT supervision and oversight requirements 
  • Guide relationships with and identify prospects for university partnerships, enabling opportunities for current employees’ career development within the field 
  • Lead and champion the expectation of clinical quality through research, conferences, and presentations; audiences may include both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Develop and manage clinical data and projects to improve understanding of best practices for treatment in accordance with the organization’s professional and ethical values 
  • Lead the company’s initiative toward accreditation with the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) 
  • Performs other job duties, as assigned 

 

Qualifications:


  • Proven work experience as a Vice President of Clinical Quality, or similar senior-level position
  • A valid, unrestricted professional clinical license, certification, or equivalent is required: LBA, LPC, LCSW, PT, OT, SLP, RN, or Clinical Psychologist; BCBA or BCBA-D certification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of research protocols, clinical quality, and outcome metrics 
  • Direct experience in clinical practice and support of service delivery in clinic, home, or community settings 
  • Familiar with Power BI or other clinical KPI tracking systems  
  • Familiarity with BACB, BHCOE, CASP and OIG standards, guidelines, and requirements 
  • Strong knowledge of Central Reach, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams applications 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks 
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment  
  • Ability to work on a team collaboratively and cooperatively
