Description

Nextworld, named #1 “Best Place to Work” in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 by the Denver Business Journal, is a high-growth software development company based in the Denver Tech Center and is looking to hire a VP of Finance & Accounting.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Finance and Accounting to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of financial leadership, particularly within the global information technology industry. This person will be pivotal in driving financial planning, strategic initiatives, overseeing our accounting function, managing risk, and working with the C-suite to propel the company forward.

  • Work with the CEO to develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Drive financial planning processes, including long-term modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to optimize resource allocation and maximize profitability.
  • Lead responsibility for maintaining our long-term financial model tied to our strategic operational plan.
  • Work with the CEO and investment banker to oversee capital structure and financing activities, including debt/equity issuances, to ensure adequate funding for strategic initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders to optimize capital-raising efforts.
  • Direct financial operations, accounting, and reporting functions to maintain accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Implement robust financial controls and processes to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to executive leadership and the board of directors.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and profitability across all business segments.
  • The Controller and FP&A functions will report directly into this position.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience within a global information technology company as a finance and accounting executive.
  • Strong financial modeling for SaaS, analysis, and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a CFO or VP of Finance and Accounting for a global technology company.

Salary Range: $225,000 - $250,000
