VICE PRESIDENT OF GROWTH

POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President of Growth will fuel Thorne’s growth engine and help scale both new and existing performance marketing channels and organic channels. This individual will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, activation, engagement, and loyalty strategies to drive incremental growth and build brand equity. This role requires not only strategic planning but also hands-on execution capabilities, as well as creative and analytical skills. This individual will work cross-functionally with Medical, Legal, Planning, Customer Service, IT in addition to working closely with all members of the Marketing team, including Data, Creative, Product, and Communications teams to drive alignment with the Company’s vision and objectives. Additional responsibilities will include developing a team of direct reports and ensuring their continued growth and development. This role will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.

  • Own end-to-end marketing funnel from awareness through acquisition, engagement, and retention/loyalty, ideating and implementing creative growth strategies and optimization best practices.
  • Lead overall marketing growth strategy, execution, and optimization across all paid channels, conversion rate optimization, email/SMS, content, and SEO.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization across the website and customer journey, collaborating with product and creative teams.
  • Evolve strategies based on consumer insights and market trends.
  • Develop and manage email and SMS marketing strategies, including content creation, segmentation, and experimentation to drive loyalty, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee and execute strategies for paid media including, paid search, display, video, and paid social
  • Lead experimentation program to drive optimization at scale.
  • Collaborate with Data Science team to build and interpret dashboards to support hypothesis and drive optimization roadmaps in addition to collaborating with Product and Operations for capacity planning.
  • Drive creative volume and pipeline for creative across digital channels in collaboration with Creative and Product teams.
  • Ensure the right tools and systems are in place for scalable growth.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Build and lead a highly performing team, secure the best talent, develop and strengthen staff and future leaders, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Conduct formal and informal performance assessments of staff, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors and leadership potential, and seek the same for self.
  • Actively participate in required training, development programs, and electives as suit one’s needs, and support colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts.

What You Need

Experience and/or Education: 8+ years of growth experience with a track record of recruiting, growing, retaining, and managing teams of at least 3+ and specific examples of successful growth initiatives you have implemented/been a part of.

Computer Skills: Employee can use the equipment and software required to accomplish the responsibilities of the position.

  • Experience with basic Analytic implementations, and event/conversion deployment via tag management software desired.
  • Direct experience working in marketing related acquisition and analytical platforms (Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest Ads, Reddit Ads, TikTok Ads, BigQuery, PowerBi, GA4, GTM etc) A hands on knowledge of these platforms is preferred.
  • Experience leveraging a portfolio of marketing channels and tactics (Organic, email, personalization, paid, influencer, ecommerce etc.) to run effective always on media and cross-channel campaigns
  • Experience directly managing 7+ figure of yearly ad spend across diverse paid channels
  • Demonstrable experience in digital acquisition testing at scale within a growth-based framework.
  • Deep understanding of attribution and marketing mix modeling with a demonstrable insight into the shifts that have occurred within the digital landscape in the past 3-5 years and how they affect consumer-level attribution.
