Vice President of PE Equity & Debt

Location: Onsite in Miami , FL

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Vice President to join our client's team and play a key role in all aspects of deal execution and portfolio monitoring activities. This position offers significant exposure to senior investment professionals and portfolio company management teams, with potential for long-term growth within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opportunity Sourcing: Leverage the firm's extensive networks to identify and source attractive investment opportunities. Collaborate in a team environment to select portfolio company investments.
• Investment Management: Oversee and review new investment opportunities, including M&A, due diligence, deal structuring, financial modeling, investment committee presentations, deal execution, and company reporting.
• Financial Analysis: Review and approve (or prepare as needed) detailed financial models, including valuation and financial analysis.
• Portfolio Support: Actively participate in portfolio company meetings, providing strategic and management support in areas such as revenue and EBITDA growth, operational initiatives, financial reporting, and add-on acquisitions.
• Investment Memoranda: Review and approve (or prepare as needed) investment memoranda for the Investment Committee.
• Mentorship: Mentor and coach associates and junior professionals, fostering their technical abilities, investment acumen, and overall contributions to the firm.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience at a top investment bank or consulting firm, with relevant accreditation(s) (e.g., CFA).
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Highly proficient in Excel/modeling and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated leadership skills: proactive, thoughtful, a good listener, non-egotistical, and able to handle conflict with high emotional intelligence.
• Strong work ethic and data-driven mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Proven investment sourcing skills, including developing market mapping strategies, generating targets, qualifying investment opportunities, and building/maintaining a network of industry contacts.
• Fluent in all facets of the private equity investment process, including diligence, financial and business analysis, and transaction negotiation. Ability to build financial models, conduct valuation and risk/reward analyses, and develop/maintain documentation for all investments.
• Ability to liaise with third-party advisors in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
