Our client is an early stage company focused on bringing modern and renewable technology to communities. Having seen strong success in the Florida market, they are expanding to additional states.


They are seeking a VP of Sales to join the team and be responsible for building and leading the sales team, driving revenue growth, and developing strategies to expand their customer base. You will play a critical role in shaping the sales organization, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The right candidate for the role has managed and grown a sales team and is comfortable playing multiple roles in the sales function at a growing company.


This is an onsite role based in Tampa.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Build a team and culture of sales excellence
  • Implement a sales program by developing sales action plans in new expansion territories
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales volume and profit for existing and new projects
  • Build long-lasting customer relationships in target markets
  • Identify market trends while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Focus sales efforts by studying local market trends and potential new customers
  • Create and deploy marketing initiatives for specified territory
  • Keep management informed by maintaining activity and result reports, daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly territory analysis
  • Recommend changes in company programs and positioning by evaluating results and competitive developments


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of proven experience in a sales leadership role, building and leading a team
  • Experience building and optimizing outbound and inbound sales processes and playbooks
  • Understanding of sales processes, lead qualification methodologies, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.
  • A deep desire to be part of creating something unique and who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Ability to comprehend complex problems and explain them in a simple and relevant way.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-sufficient with ability to solve unique problems creatively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactively identifies issues that require resolution or follow up and taking steps or making recommendations to resolve.
  • Person of high ethics, integrity, honesty with lots of passion, drive, and a sense of humor.
