Vice President of Sales
Overview: Salt Money, the leading payment processing company in the cannabis industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team across multiple verticals. As VP of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales processes, implementing metrics, and overseeing sales teams for our retail payment processing division, cannabis payment processing division, and fintech divisions. Our company has experienced more substantial growth year-over-year and are looking for someone to help capture more market share.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with company goals and objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and potential for growth within existing markets.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.
Sales Operations:
- Oversee and implement all aspects of sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
- Develop pricing strategies and negotiation tactics to maximize profitability.
Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Utilize insights to adapt sales strategies and gain a competitive edge.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide input into product development based on customer feedback and market demand.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in senior sales positions, preferably as a VP of Sales or Director of Sales in a related industry in merchant processing, point of sale, or financial sales.
- Process oriented and experienced with mergers/acquisitions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
