Summary/Objective

As part of the Executive Leadership team, the Vice President of Service and Operations will be responsible for overseeing the lead positions in warehouse operations, inventory control, technical training, and service operations. This position manages workflow, manpower requirements, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in logistics, service profitability and performance.

Inventory & Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Develop inventory strategies from receiving to shipping. The strategy will include inventory analysis, physical inventory roadmap, and auditing the accurate counting of inventory management.
  • Oversee cycle counts and reconciliation of inventory. Create discrepancy reports and work on improvements. Create automated processes and digital transformation opportunities for inventory and maintain variances benchmark.
  • Create a vision for world class inventory movement, and inventory control for expanding facilities/branches.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly inventory accuracy targets and make improvement opportunities.
  • Provide support to execute the strategy of continuous improvements in key customer and financial metrics by managing key programs and projects, communicating progress, escalating challenges, and clear and timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to the President.
  • Responsible for the sale and distribution of wholesale equipment, the write-off and disposal of aged, used equipment and appropriate bone yard stock.
  • Manage vendor contracts and relations; point of contact of facility issues and projects.

Service Operations Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall efforts of the service department.
  • Responsible for service department profitability, growth, and staff utilization.
  • Maintain 100% staffing through a comprehensive recruiting and hiring plan; Select, Train, and Develop.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the company technical training program.
  • Oversee the management of cost of operation and establish service pricing benchmarks; oversee service renewal pricing.
  • Oversee the effective utilization of BEI to achieve optimal team performance.
  • Oversee, develop, and implement processes to optimize the company's ability to meet or surpass the CDA service benchmarks and BEI metrics - while consistently improving a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain accountable territory integrity.

Other Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly team meetings.
  • Mandate individual monthly plan and reviews for all direct reports and ensure consistent performance, goals with achievement timelines.
  • Act with urgency to meet and resolve problems.
  • Participate in self-developmental activities to insure continued personal development; in all situations act with the highest level of ethical behavior.
  • Build strong relationships with all vendors.

Qualifications

  • Progressive service and operational leadership experience in the industry.
  • Experience leading, inspiring, and developing high-performing leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure profitability and control costs.
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with drive, energy, and passion for the development of people and business.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% or more, based on business demand.
