Are you a motivated and experienced professional looking to make a significant impact in the financial industry? We are seeking a dynamic VP Special Assets/Loan Workout Officer to join our bank client’s team on a full-time, remote basis.
As a key member of the SBA Special Assets Team, you'll leverage your expertise in SBA and commercial lending to manage and resolve complex loan issues, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the success of our team. Key Responsibilities

- Enhance the customer experience by setting an example of outstanding service and actively engaging with customers and staff.
- Collaborate with the SVP/SBA Audit & Special Assets Manager to manage and minimize bank losses through effective problem loan management.
- Handle the collection, negotiation, and resolution of past due loan payments, ensuring compliance with SBA and bank regulations.
- Review and assess marginal SBA Annual Reviews, conduct financial and credit analyses, and address potential risks to ensure timely loan repayment.
- Ensure timely processing of PIP disbursements and verify that all documentation complies with SBA and bank standards.
- Perform comprehensive audits on problematic loans and address issues in line with SBA and bank regulations.
- Gather data and documentation for SBA 10-Tab submissions and assist in reviewing legal notices related to the SBA Portfolio.
- Resolve departmental lien perfection and other portfolio issues, and manage special asset processes to adhere to regulatory standards.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer contact information and handle correspondence and reporting efficiently.
- Generate detailed reports on special asset efforts, make portfolio recommendations, and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in banking, specializing in special assets, financial analysis, or credit review.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial, construction, real estate, and consumer loan products, along with related state and federal regulations. Familiarity with title policies and compliance laws such as RESPA and HMDA is essential.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, problem-solving, and understanding of lending activities and terminology.
