Video Editor

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video editing techniques, an eye for detail, and the ability to transform raw footage into polished and engaging content. The Video Editor will work closely with our creative team to ensure that all video content meets the highest quality standards and aligns with our brand vision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Edit raw video footage to create high-quality video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project scope and objectives.
• Assemble and trim recorded footage, ensuring that the final product is cohesive and visually appealing.
• Add music, dialogue, graphics, and effects to enhance the video's quality and storytelling.
• Review and make revisions based on feedback from clients and team members.
• Maintain and organize a library of video assets and project files.
• Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and industry standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software, techniques, and trends.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields (Film & Television, Fine Arts, Broadcast Communications, New Media).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in producing, directing or general filmmaking
• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
• Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and resolutions.
• Excellent storytelling skills and a keen eye for visual composition.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Experience with both paid (Meta, TikTok, etc.) and owned video (Organic social, website, etc.) content.

PREFERRED:

• Experience with motion graphics and animation.
• Experience operating a range of camera models.
• Monday.com, Asana or experience with project management programs
• Frame.io
• G Suite
• Box or other Digital Asset Management tool
• Market research
• Experience in the brand lifestyle industry
• Experience working on large scale projects and events.
