Video Editor
Key role in the shooting and assembly of finished video projects that meet the Peerless Umbrella and goals. The Videographer/Editor will support multiple pre- and post-production corporate media projects ranging from branded content and corporate work involving social media, communications, training, promotional, and informational videos. This role will act as an integral member and collaborate with other members of the Creative Team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
Collaborate with producers, writers, editors, and others on the Creative Team to identify video solutions that achieve business objectives.
Creatively engage with stakeholders during every phase of the production process.
Understand visual composition and studio production.
Maintain working knowledge of production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment for field and studio production.
Keep abreast, research and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Execute editing needs and provide expertise, knowledge, and creativity to meet project goals and needs.
Refine audio through sound mixing or other post-production work.
Review content for accuracy and maintain video archives.
Review, evaluate, edit and cut footage ensuring final version communicates information as planned.
Handle complex issues or project changes independently; Seek help from management as necessary.
Solid foundation with all aspects of video post-production, media archiving and management.
Position and edit footage into sequence and input music, dialogue, graphics, effects, etc.
Awareness of social media current trends, best practices, and comfortable creating content for our various social media audiences.
Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position):
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
2 years of experience in a combination of video editing and videography.
Expertise using Adobe CC (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, etc.)
Extensive experience using motion graphics.
Extensive experience using cameras and lighting techniques for a cinematic look.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
Demonstrate shooting and video editing ability with a strong reel or body of work.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in film studies or a related field.
3 years of experience in a combination of video editing and videography.
Motion Graphics Design and Animation experience.
Experience in 3D modeling.
Comfortable and willing to embrace video AI tools.
