Planet Interactive is looking for a Video Editor to join our well known Fortune 500 client on a 3-month contract! This role is 100% remote based, working 40 hours per week. The Video Editor needs to be co-located to a HUB though: Cupertino, Culver City, or New York City.
Video Editor Responsibilities:
Manipulating and editing footage together in a way that matches a creative brief and tells a cohesive story.
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film for in-app content.
Final online assembly of graded and mixed files.
Use compression guidelines to meet proper delivery specifications.
Manage and understand the creative review process; address creative notes, update work, and collaborate with the team to ensure the best product is put forward.
Retain a highly organized project, from initial edit through various localization deliveries.
Work with director/brief to achieve the desired end result.
Oversee the quality of how the story is visually presented.
Reordering and fine-tuning content to ensure the logical flow of information.
Creating and testing graphic design elements to bring brand cohesion to projects.
Consult/review with internal and external partners to ensure proper goal is met.
Suggesting or selecting music, editing music track for desired emotional effect.
Finalizing technical aspects to ensure quality and proper delivery format.
Video Editor Requirements:
5+ years' experience using Final Cut Pro and After Effects.
Proficiency in supporting applications such as Photoshop and Resolve.
Degree in BSc/BA Graphic Design or Visual Communications or equivalent work experience.
Experienced editor through a wide variety of productions (TV, documentary, marketing/social, corporate)
Experience within the gaming space or a passion for it!
