Position Summary:

The Video Editor will be a critical member of the Content and Production development team. The Video Editor will report to the Director of Content and Production and will be an integral part of an internal team of content creators tasked with developing video content to support the organization's marketing, communication, training, and branding objectives. The Video Editor will be focused on the final aspects of content creation; however, they must be able to effectively contribute to the production process from concept development to post-production.

Video Editing:

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Edit raw footage into compelling videos that align with SIG SAUER's brand identity and marketing objectives. This includes trimming footage, adding transitions, overlays, graphics, and special effects, as well as adjusting audio levels and color grading.

Social Media:

  • Must have good understanding of social media content creation and trends / and content creation tools ensuring content is both optimized for and performs across all social platforms.

Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to conceptualize and create engaging video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, product launches, and promotional campaigns.

Storyboarding:

  • Work closely with the Marketing and Content Creation team to develop storyboards and shot lists for video projects, ensuring that the final product effectively communicates the desired message and resonates with the target audience.

Asset Management:

  • Work effectively with the Asset and Content Manager to organize and maintain video assets in a structured manner, ensuring easy accessibility and efficient workflow for future projects. This includes file management, archiving, and version control.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct thorough quality checks on all internally and externally produced video content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

Stay Updated:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video production and editing. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in video editing software, techniques, and tools.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all produced content adheres to the brand standards and meets the expected quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Must have proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative video projects and proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
  • Must have proven experience developing video content within a marketing organization, brand, or agency.
  • Must have excellent storytelling skills and a keen understanding of visual storytelling techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of firearms or related industries is a plus, but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions will vary depending on type of position, (production, office, WFH, hybrid).
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
