Who You Are:
As the Visual Merchandising Coordinator, you are responsible for creating and distributing all visual merchandising guidelines to the Travel Retail & Wholesale division within North America. You will ensure supplemental materials are concise, clear and designed for optimal performance. You will assist the Visual Merchandising Senior Manager with special projects but not limited to achieving divisional financial goals through visual merchandising.
What You’ll Do:
CREATIVE INNOVATION
- Create and maintain graphic templates.
- Create visual merchandising guidelines / directives each month that support business needs while maintaining seasonal theme and global message in partnership with cross-functional partners.
- Create supplemental materials as needed to support and achieve divisional objectives.
- Download and silhouette all seasonal products.
- Prepare and gather all digital assets and imagery seasonally.
- Create product cheat sheets by department for each month of the season.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
- Understand all store types and tiers, providing suggestive alternatives to achieve desired goals.
- Review assortment grids, markdowns, late arrivals, RTS | RTV and promotions.
- Audit best seller reports and On Hand inventory levels ensuring optimum use of product to increase sales in stores.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising team on all necessary presentations, ensuring key investments and volume drivers are protected and well represented.
- Establish guideline workflow using SMARTSHEETS.
COMMUNICATION
- Retail communications liaison, informing cross functional partners on upcoming VM tasks.
- Communicate and share guidelines, templates and files with global network to ensure a cohesive brand message.
- Facilitate all communication to Field Leadership and stores regarding VM Guidelines and new visual initiatives.
- Share and distribute guideline previews and working files with global network.
OPERATIONS
- Support with photo evaluation of North America fleet while compiling and sharing compliance results.
- Organize and maintain seasonal product on company server.
- Properly archive monthly guidelines and supplemental materials.
- Assist in preparation of major presentations and workshops
- Establish digital library process seasonally.
You’ll Need to Have:
- 2+ years Visual Merchandising experience
- 2+ years of graphic design experience
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong photography skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong visual merchandising skills and ability to drive business through creativity
- Ability to think and work strategically; able to plan ahead and foresee opportunities
- Resourceful, creative and solution-oriented
- Detailed oriented while able to handle multiple tasks
- Business Acumen: understanding of how effective visual strategies and standards drive the overall customer experience
