Visual & Motion Designer

NOTE: Purple, Rock, Scissors has an exciting contract opportunity for a few Visual & Motion Designers based in either San Francisco, LA or New York City to support a large tech client of ours. This is a temporary, contract role to support a XR /mixed reality hardware product effort.

Length of Engagement: approximately 6 months

Will require extensive onboarding, background/education/employment checks, and credentialing.

We’re looking for a highly skilled Visual & Motion Designer. The ideal candidate has exceptional visual design chops who can bring a high level of creativity and polish to their work. This person can effectively translate an established brand into the product's user interface, creating a cohesive and engaging user experience. The presentation of their work should be impeccable, showcasing their skills and ideas in a clear, professional manner.

The ideal teammate is a visual designer that can strongly demonstrate visual solutions with color and typography. They can test these executions through motion design and can apply and extend the design language across apps, extensions and agent experiences. The primary tools used for this engagement are Figma and After Effects.

Responsibilities:

• Apply Highly polished Visual Design skills and a high level of creativity to all explorations
• Demonstrate excellent presentation of Brand Expression through UI
• Work with xfn partners to drive and own designs for visual language and design system of XR platform
• Work with apps and extensions UX designers to establish visual cohesion across a XR wearable device
• Utilize Motion Skillset to apply visual designs in an XR environment
• Work directly with Visual design leads to align and prioritize work
• Drive design spec development and create production ready assets
• Communicate the user experience to partners at various stages of the design process by making compelling designs and concepts
• Clearly rationalize and justify design work, advocate for users’ needs
