We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical individual to join our team as a Vice President within the Business Services department. The candidate will work closely with the Controller and will handle accounting procedures, accounts payable and receivable functions and systems, prepare financial reports, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and assist in budget preparation.

This is a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and a client service mindset.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist Controller in the preparation and presentation of financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, AUM reports, Cap-Ex reporting for CFO and COO reviews.
  • Work with Controller in the creation of monthly budget reporting and packages to various stakeholders.
  • Oversee Management Co. monthly financial close including input and review of daily and monthly transactions in the accounting system, account reconciliations, and report generation.
  • Review full GL and TB monthly with Controller.
  • Identify and present variance analyses and changes from prior periods and budgets.
  • Facilitate annual financial audits and internal control assessments.
  • Assist Controller in putting together tax preparation documentation for external accountants for State and Federal filings.
  • Update and develop dashboards and other executive team tools.
  • Assist in preparation of report inputs for revenue and expense modeling.
  • Work alongside team members to identify and implement process enhancements to improve financial operations, internal controls, and reporting systems.
  • Lead team projects and initiatives that focus on creating operational efficiencies and scale.
  • Liaise and build strong relationships with teams across the organization.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • 7+ years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience.
  • Management company accounting experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to manipulate and organize data and operate within computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software preferred (such as NetSuite and Concur).
  • PowerBI, Alteryx, or other business intelligence tools a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, stress and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member.

Additional Information:

Base salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple reasons, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on these reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, base salary is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses, alternative incentive packages, commission eligibility, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
