VP of Franchise Sales Development

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Franchise Sales Development to spearhead the growth and expansion of the business through new unit development, resales within the company, and effective real estate strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in franchise development, strong leadership skills, and a passion for health and wellness. This role requires the ability to drive a high-performing sales team while staying aligned with the brand's mission and values.

Roles And Responsibilities

Franchise Growth Strategy:

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new franchisees in targeted markets both domestically and internationally.
  • Oversee the generation of high-quality franchise leads through various channels including marketing initiatives, networking, events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead the franchise sales process from lead generation to closing, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives. Including both new units and resales.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the onboarding process for new franchisees.

Real Estate Function

  • Oversee the real estate team to identify optimal locations for new territories.
  • Analyze market trends and demographics to inform real estate decisions and maximize profitability.

Sales Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team to drive franchise development goals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence within the sales organization.
  • Set clear sales targets and provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching.

Alignment With Mission And Values

  • Ensure that all franchise development activities are aligned with the mission, values, and brand identity.
  • Uphold the company's commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement in all aspects of franchise development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in franchise development, preferably within the fitness or retail industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully growing franchise networks and meeting expansion targets.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Knowledge of franchise laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of successful franchise or high-value sales experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to build rapport, establish credibility, and develop long-term relationships
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a demonstrated ability to meet and excel sales targets
  • Knowledge of the fitness industry and franchising landscape is a plus
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, methodical, quality-conscious, and with a reputation for superb follow-through
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed for industry events and franchisee visits
