Job Description Summary

As a key member of the Enterprise Solutions leadership team, the person in this position works in close collaboration with the CRO to lead strategic planning and execution on established plans for Enterprise Solutions. In addition, this person leads and provides oversight for Enterprise Solutions strategic initiatives by providing leadership, management, financial accountability, compliance, strategic planning, and directional oversight to Solution Development, MN Solutions and other new initiatives as assigned. This position is directly responsible for establishing and achieving Revenue and Margin goals for assigned solutions.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy development for all of Enterprise Solution.
  • Lead development of annual plans, 3-year plans, and 5-year plans for all of Enterprise Solution and ensure that these plans support and build towards long term growth goals.
  • Determine appropriate planning processes to both optimize Enterprise Solutions growth and to integrate with overall Sourcewell planning efforts.
  • Lead the relationship between Enterprise Solutions and the Operational Excellence team.
  • Develop planning calendars that both allow for the unique needs of Enterprise Solutions and connect with the overall Sourcewell planning cadence.
  • Lead Enterprise Solutions efforts to execute on established strategies.
  • Lead other Enterprise Solutions leaders in developing initiatives and tactics to advance overall strategic objectives.
  • Track status of initiatives and other components of strategies to ensure that we are tracking towards achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Lead headcount planning for all of Enterprise Solutions.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly revenue and margin forecasting to support annual plans, 3-year plans, and 5-year plans for all of Enterprise Solutions.
  • Lead Innovation and Solution Development initiatives.
  • Assume overall P&L management of new solution development efforts and ensure that budgeted revenue and margin goals are achieved.
  • Lead the development of short- and long-term plans to develop new solutions to support Enterprise Solutions margin and revenue diversification goals.
  • Develop and maintain a wide range of expertise in best practices in innovation and solution development.
  • Develop expertise in key areas of focus for current and future innovation focus areas.
  • In conjunction with the Partnership team, lead the development of relationships with outside partners to drive both innovation and solution development efforts.
  • Lead Minnesota Solutions Team.
  • Assume overall P&L management of Minnesota Solutions and ensure that budgeted revenue and margin goals are achieved.
  • Lead overall efforts to manage all Minnesota solutions specific solutions and ensure that maintenance and growth plans allow them to remain competitive and financially viable.
  • Partner with Government Accounts to establish plans to serve Minnesota agencies in a matrixed manner.
  • Partner with the Regional Solutions team to understand customer needs, solution needs, and solutions currently deployed in the region.
  • Develop and maintain a wide range of expertise in Minnesota solution opportunities.
  • Lead efforts to develop relationship with assigned Minnesota partners including Leagues of Governments, ECDCs, Service Cooperatives and others.
  • Lead efforts to develop strong relationships with underserved communities (including tribal communities) in Minnesota.
  • Direct the overall management of team members.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and mentor assigned staff and ensure that they effectively manage and supervise their assigned staff.
  • Provide strategic direction and actionable goals to ensure that the entire team understands how their performance impacts department, division and organizational strategies and goals.
  • Determine staffing needs and ensure that the team has appropriate headcount to support growth plans.
  • Establish hiring, training, and onboarding processes and ensure that these are followed across the team.
  • Lead efforts to support and advance Sourcewell’s culture and values.
  • Pattern our values of Seek, Empower and Impact to your direct reports and the entire team.
  • Develop and lead your team to become open, transparent, innovative, and collaborative to the Sourcewell team and external partners.
  • Represent Sourcewell and Enterprise Solutions.
  • Represent your team at internal events, board meetings and retreats.
  • Represent Sourcewell at civic and social functions by attending local, regional, state, and national meetings, and conferences.
  • Attend and present at conferences, trade shows, and other public events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study AND Nine (9) years of demonstrated experience in strategic planning, strategic initiatives management, solution development, P&L management, business development or other directly related experience OR
  • Combination of post-secondary training, professional education, and related experience equivalent to thirteen (13) years.
  • Public speaking and presentation experience.
  • Budget design and management experience.
  • Seven (7) years demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications/Certifications

  • Master’s degree in related field of study.
  • Twelve (12) years of demonstrated experience in strategic planning, strategic initiatives management, solution development, P&L management, business development or other directly related experience.
  • Public speaking and presentation experience.
  • Budget design and management experience.
  • Nine (9) years demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Experience working with both private and public sector entities.
