The VP / RVP of Sales is responsible for all Sales activities in the given area / region. This includes planning, presenting, implementing and deliveries Sales strategies and related activities to profitable and sustainable operations. Primary client target is small to mid-size (<1,000) self-funded groups and their brokers / consultants in a given area / region with a focus on TPA, Medical Stop Loss, Employee Benefits and related services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generating Sales for company services including: TPA services, Medical Stop Loss, Medical Employee Benefits and related products and services to Employers, Brokers and Consultants.
  • Delivering Client-facing Sales Presentations, Related Marketing, and guiding the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
  • Supporting Account Management functions and related retention metrics.
  • Conducting Potential New Group, Broker and Consultant meetings.
  • Preparing company reports on sales/marketing activities, prospect/pipeline updates using company tools including Salesforce.com.
  • Maintaining client database to ensure accurate and updated contact lists.
  • Ensuring all sales contract agreements and exhibits are complete and accurate.
  • Participating in staff, management, and planning meetings, including:
  • Sales processes, structures for added value, and long-term relationships.
  • Production of marketing materials and sales kits.
  • Customer research, market conditions, and competition data.
  • Attending local and national sales seminars and conferences as needed.
  • Meeting sales goals, objectives, and deadlines.
  • Conducting educational sessions and sales training programs for agents, brokers, providers, and employers as necessary.
  • Business Travel Required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Sales within at least one of our product lines.
  • Proven negotiation and deal closure skills and results.
  • Existing relationships with brokers and consultants a big plus.
  • Solid working knowledge of self-funding, level-funding, medical stop loss, and expense reduction, and employee health improvements.
  • In-depth understanding of several of our products including TPA functions, Medical Stop Loss, Employer Group Health Benefits, Retirement plans, etc…
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions effectively to clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in CRM/Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc..
