Phase2 is seeking a high-energy, results-oriented sales team leader. The VP, Sales is responsible for the successful execution of opportunity generation, sales and proposal strategy, and obtaining quality net new logos for the organization.

The VP, Sales will be expected to deeply understand Phase2's unique value message and articulately convey it to our target market through networking, live pitching, and effective strategy. We are looking for someone with a demonstrated history of uncovering opportunity and bringing enterprise-level, health-focused companies into engagement with Phase2..

The VP, Sales will work closely with marketing and current account teams to develop plans for how Phase2 drives demand and leads through events and digital channels. You will work with an ambitious company whose leadership is highly invested in establishing the company as a true leader in creating and delivering digital experiences that matter. Phase2 is always evolving and looking to improve its position in the market, and you would be on the front lines of the many coordinated efforts required to accomplish that.

This position reports to: SVP, Sales & Marketing

Base salary: $121,400 - $182,100 (does not include commissions, bonuses, or other incentives)

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and implement sales targets and qualifiers for the department
  • Manage, mentor, train, and inspire all sales team members
  • Adhere and manage sales processes, forecasting, and reporting
  • Shows curiosity, awareness, and establishes connection between Phase2's offerings and market trends (including competitor and buyer habits)
  • Collaborates with the marketing department to develop effective promotional, proposal, and enablement material
  • Builds relationships with influential people within Phase2's target market
  • Interfaces with legal, finance, and procurement departments to negotiate contracts


Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in sales management roles
  • 7+ years of experience in a digital agency, consultancy, or equivalent
  • Growth and outcome-oriented leadership
  • Experience developing sales strategy and planning, including construction of commission and bonus plans
  • Experience mentoring sales and lead generation teams
  • Proven track record of uncovering opportunities within target markets
  • Experience using data and analytics to optimize and refine sales tactics
  • Exemplary communication skills, verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in-person presentations and pitches


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated technical and creative writing capabilities
  • Analytical skills to uncover reporting insights for key team metrics
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Background in health-related field
  • Experience with working in Salesforce, Hubspot, and ZoomInfo
  • Degree in Business administration, Marketing or related field

Physical Demands

  • Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasional adjusting or moving of light objects up to 20 pounds in all directions
  • Continuous communication on live video chats, calls, and through emails and messaging platforms for the purpose of exchanging information
  • Continuous repetitive movements that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Travel (approx. 15% - 25%) when required

  • Comprehension - Must continuously be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures. Must also be able to gather information from clients and employees and synthesize this information in a meaningful way. May also be responsible for making improvements or recommendations to existing procedures
  • Organization - Must continuously be able to gather and classify information, store information learned from conversations and communications, and then be and be able to quickly recall, interpret, and explain information.
  • Reasoning and Decision Making - Must continuously use logic to analyze and interpret information, and prioritize.
  • Communication - Must continuously express or exchange ideas and meaning with employees and clients
  • Resilience - Must continuously adapt well in the face of workplace stressors
