Warehouse Operations Manager

Objective of Job

Manage an extensive/complex department in Logistics and onsite/3PL locations. Ensure on time delivery to all relative customers while maintaining a lean operation that meets all budgeted and internal targets.

Principle Activities

• Ensure that all warehouse operations (Receiving, Warehousing, Delivery of goods, and Shipping) are performed correctly and on time.
• Plan and administer the budget in the area of responsibility and make sure there is compliance with it
• Lead personnel planning and training in the area of responsibility and assign the employees in accordance with their qualifications
• Administer and assure all logistical functions in the plant and implement actions for deviations as required
• Implement logistics and SCM guidelines, processes and systems and assure they are followed
• Manage all relevant KPI’s and ensure target levels are achieved
• Develop department specific goals, break down and prioritize the department goals and evaluate goal achievement
• Support implementation of new procedures, logistics systems and training of involved personnel
• Investigate cost reduction possibilities and ways to eliminate redundancies related to operation and associated supply chains
• Ensure the analysis of overall problems with regards to the area of responsibility and develop measures/solutions for sustainable elimination/avoidance as well as documented actions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or work equivalency in a logistics environment
• Working in an automotive or manufacturing environment for 5-7 years
• Experience leading a logistics team for 5-7 years
• Lean manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma problem solving methodology, Green Belt preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of ERP/MRP/WMS systems
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
