Web Content Specialist

Horizontal Talent is partnering with a financial institution in search of a Web Content Specialist for a hybrid contract opportunity in Chicago. This role will have the flexibility to work remote 3 days a week, with 2 days onsite. This is a fulltime contract through the end of the year.

In this Web Content Specialist role, you will manage external online content, including public and third-party websites where the institution has a presence. You will also coordinate with business areas to meet their needs and identify appropriate tools, resources, and processes for development.

The web content specialist will:

• Participate in day-to-day operations of intranet, public website(s), related third-party websites, including content enhancements, troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to relevant standards and guidelines
• Coordinate with business areas to solicit, edit, and produce online content; maintain subject matter expertise necessary to facilitate this process
• Coordinate with management to ensure adherence to standards and alignment with web strategy
• Coordinate with content providers, internal communications staff, and management to develop new content
• Ensure that deadlines are met for posting new content
  
  
  

We are looking for a Web Content Specialist with 1 to 3 years of professional experience and familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web-oriented technologies. Additional qualifications include:

• Familiarity with web content management systems
• Familiarity with analytical tools and style guides
• Ability to work on multiple, deadline-driven projects in a collaborative environment
• Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
