Welder/Fabricator

Pay

Starting between $24 and $27, DOE. Advancement opportunities available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow blueprints, sample pieces, or pictures to fabricate parts using metal forming equipment: bandsaw, shear, punch, drill press, etc.
• Accurately assemble, weld, or bolt parts together.
• Repair/refurbish old equipment.
• Prep and paint finished product.
• Prep items for shipping.
• Load/unload trucks if designated.
• Produce timely and detailed labor reports.
• Effectively manage time and resources to meet deadlines and ensure quality.
• Maintain an organized account of parts and materials used.
• Assist other production teams as needed.
• Keep tools and equipment organized and properly maintained.
• Consistently arrive on time and maintain reliable attendance.
• Work both independently and collaboratively.
• Must practice personal and environmental safety on the job using protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, etc.
  
  

Requirements:

• Experienced at MIG welding steel, all thicknesses and positions including overhead
• Proper use of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment: welder, plasma cutter, Oxy/Acetylene torch, bandsaw, ironworker, drill press.
• Knowledge of machinery and how things work.
• Be able to perform physical work including: repetitive motions; standing, kneeling, bending over for long periods; the ability to lift at least 50-70 pounds.
• Drive a forklift and use lifting devices.
• Interact professionally and work well with the team and customers.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, and have valid identification.
