- [Instructor] Central to your Android's success as a communications device is this app, Contacts. Details are provided for people and businesses including phone numbers, email accounts, locations and more. Favorite or starred contacts appear first, then comes the full list shown alphabetically by first name. To change the order, look for the Settings action. But on this device, you choose Fix and Manage, then Settings. Use Sort By to change the sorting order, first name or last name, and then use the name format to show how the contacts are listed, first name first or last name first. You can scroll the list by swiping, but once you do, this index bar appears on the right. Drag it to scroll the list. You can also use the search bar to type a contact name.
