- [Instructor] Amazon FSx is a multifaceted service where an AWS offers managed versions of several popular file systems. NetApp ONTAP, OpenZFS, Luster, and Windows File Server. Throughout AWS, managed refers to systems that you could set up for yourself but for which AWS abstracts away the complexity of configuring and administrating them on your own. This makes it easy to stand up sophisticated infrastructure without needing a certification in, for instance Windows File Systems. In fact, FSx is probably the best AWS option for those interested in network attached storage for Windows workloads. Since this course otherwise focuses quite a bit on non Windows storage, I thought we'd take this example and see just what FSx can offer with a few simple clicks.
