From the course: Excel Business Intelligence: Power Pivot, DAX and Data Modeling

Welcome

Hey, everyone. Chris Dutton here, and welcome to Excel Business Intelligence Part 1: Power Query. In this part of the course, we'll kick off with a quick summary of the Power Excel landscape. Explain when and why to use tools like Power Query and Power Pivot, and then focus on connecting and transforming data using Excel's query editing tools. We'll cover basic table transformations, date and text editing tools, and pro tips like creating custom rolling calendars, pivoting and unpivoting data, and merging and appending queries. Now, keep in mind that this is Part 1 of a three-part series. So make sure to check out Part 2: Data Modeling 101, as well as Part 3: Power Pivot and DAX. We've got a lot to cover, so let's dive in.
