- If you've made the decision to dive head first into content marketing for your freelance business, it's time to create a strategy to help you succeed. The first decision is what kind of content you'll be creating. You'll need to create either written or visual content that's interesting to your target audience. This should be fairly easy to decide on, depending on the type of work that you do. If you're a writer, it's best to create written content. For photographers and videographers, you'll want photo and video. And as a graphic artist, you can work with images, designs, or written content. Next, you'll want to think about the subject matter of that content. Successful content does something for the person seeing it. It can't be all about you.
