- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at how to create a brand new project in GarageBand. I've already closed the project we were looking at in the previous movie. And now I see this Choose a Project window. To create a new project, you can select a new project over here in the left-hand column, and that gives you an option to create a new empty project with no tracks. Or, as we saw earlier, you can select Project Templates and choose from any of these template types to get you started with particular types of music. For example, if you're a keyboard player, you might want to double-click "Keyboard Collection", and that creates a project with nine different keyboard tracks pre-created. If you have a MIDI keyboard connected to your Mac, which I do in this case, and I will talk about setting up keyboards a little bit later, you can select the track and start playing that particular keyboard type right away.
