- [Instructor] A lot of people ask, where is the Internet? The Internet is in almost every home, all over the world. There are very few spots left, if any, that cannot have Internet access. Satellites are allowing anyone to remotely connect. All computers that are connected, wired or wirelessly, are part of the Internet. It's also known as the World Wide Web. No single break in the connection can bring the Internet down. There are two different types of computers. One has the data and applications and whatever else you need, and the other is the computer that needs it. Some computers are both server and endpoint. The server is going to serve up the images, the websites, the applications, the data, all for the endpoints. The endpoints can be computers, tablets, smartphones, anything else that can connect to the Internet. So, who created the Internet? Was it little green people from Mars? No, it was not.
